they are closing their Ann Arbor facility. 2,100 people are out of a job ! It is a BIG BLOW to our local economy! What's next??? Michigan is in a rough spot finacially.

The QB ( Tom Brady ) used to play QB ( quarterback ) for MICHIGAN ! I went to some games when he was playing so I always root for him and his team. I believe he has two Super Bowl rings already. I think he's the most successful player in the NFL from MICHIGAN ! GO BLUE ! ( wear maize! ) . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I studied for hours last night. ......The Lascaux and Chavet caves in France. Venus figures , Venus of Willendorf in particular. I have a much better understanding of it now. Prehistoric times.

I passed my driving test ! Didn't think I wouldn't ! Hip hip horray !I didn't even practice. LOL I knocked over 2 cones during the parking test ! I hate parallel parking. Monday or Tuesday I'll go get my license. I AM ( almost ) LEGAL ! I drove my scooter for over a yr. w/o a license. I also on occaision drove my friend's truck ! All I've been thinking about is ...getting a CAR ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had a nice visit w/ Zaynah . She does this hilarious Bristish accent. I always make her talk that way to family & friends ! Yesterday I told my Dad that my friend's daughter from Englan wanted to say, " Hello ", to him !! It's adorable. I could've gone to an auction tonite but I have to study for a quiz and read more. I went grocery shopping earlier. The store I went to is way too big ! It's crazy the store sizes and variety we have here. It was too crowded. Everything is sooo expensive nowadays. I hope the price of friut & veggies from California doesn't go up too much. They had a billion dollars worth of crop damage there. Sad shit . Some trees might not produce fruit for 3 yrs. and 12,000 workers might be unemployed....

Friday.....work is over. Class is over. errands are done.........YIPEE ! Zaynah is coming over in awhile =-) I'm tired but what the heck ! it's only overnight. Tomorrow I take my ROAD TEST ! it's to get my drivers license. I haven't had one in so long they make me start over like I'm a teenager. On Monday I can walk into the Secretary of State's office and get my pic taken for my license ! I know as soon as I have that piece of paper saying I can legally drive I will be DYING to have my own car ! FREEDOM ! It will change my life ( for the good ) dramatically ! A friend of my is going to let me use their car quite often so that's cool. I can drive myself to school ( and hang out after LOL ) . Well, I sat down long enuff and don't want to drone on so long that no one will want to read this LOL . More later......Ciao !

Well, I didn't lose power , thank goodness but the trees are in trouble. My lilac's are all broken up. A big tree fell on the dog kennel outside. There's about a half inch of ice on everything ! It looks pretty!I walked around a bit in the backyard w/ Keane. I went over to the landlord's and he came over and looked at the damage. Luckily the HUGE elm out back didn't lose any branches. It's a miracle! I bet that tree is @ least a hundred years old. It fans out like an umbrella.........Only two more chapters to read for class, then I can start on my paper. Something I read struck a chord w/ me. I was reading about aesthetics in particular the Navajo. They don't have a word that separates made things from th rest of the world, as they believe the two are intertwined. They have something like ying & yang but they call it "hozho" . The beauty in weaving for them does not lie in the finished product but in the process of making it. They don't recognize a border between art & life . << yeah, I like that. My brain isn't used to sucking up all this new knowledge. Not used to having to learn so much at one time. Soon I will be used to it. Like I said before it's been 11 yrs. since I've taken any classes , I'm just not used to it. I'm not complaining either cuz' I absolutely LOVE it !

I went into work eight hours early, just cuz' I can . lol I asked my boss , he dint' care. he doesn't care about much ! I told him I took my dog to work ( in Dec. ) and he laughed and said nuttin' ! I called him when I got home to REMIND him ( he needs it ) to NOt forget my 5.5 hrs. of OT ( overtime) . Hmmmmmm, hey Magda, Do they do that in Poland?? Pay you time and a half for anything over 40 hrs. or in my case anything over eight hours?? just wondering....I wanted to go in early and get it over with and have an evening home ( to watch desparate Housewives ! < true that ) . I'm LOVIN' it. And for those of you who are unaware i worked the graveyard shift, midnights, or 12:30 or 1:00 ! LOL Whenever I get there ! plus I wanted to read. I have to read five chapters for class and write a paper, just one page ( whew ! ) Oh, there was someone working in their office when I was @ work ! I figured somebody would be. he walked up on me and scared the shit outta' me! I screamed ! LOL Not a blood curddling scream but a good lil' scream ! I just went outside to see if we were getting any of the freezing rain they said was coming and OMG ! everything is COATED in ICE! I touched a branch on my Lilac "tree" and it broke off ! I got my candles in stratgic places and recharged my big camping light 2 days ago. It has a good light and a radio and a fan and a flashlight and a red light that makes a siren noise too. ! LOL Plus I have a few flashlights. The heat will work but the fan on the furnace won't. I wonder if it's bad to run it w/o the fan....??? I did it b4 but not for long...... Hopefully the electrical wires can handle the weight of the ice. ............. I have to get to my reading... toodles !

Yipee ! I start school tomorrow ! I got my book today...I ordered it from textbookX.com . IT'S HUGE ! OMG ! It must weigh15lbs. I swear! How lovely. It is a real nice book thou. Gilbert's~ Living With Art . I'm SO glad I chose this ( Art Appreciation ) as my first class @ Washtenaw! ( I went to another college b4 for two yrs. , 11yrs ago !!! ) I have to go and get my pic taken for my student ID too. I need to print out a map, I'm bound to get lost ! LOL Also I took my driver's (written test) and passed of course w/ flying colors and take my road test on the 19th ! WOWZER ! I'm already kinda' looking @ cars ! =o) I can't wait ! FREEDOM ! Whoooo Hoooooo ! Hot Diggity Dawg ! ! ! ! !
