I haven't read a book by him I haven't liked.... this was a historical , ummm, drama !! Takes place in Scotland (Edinburgh) , London & Virginia.... in the 1700's....

Hmmmmm, I can see why this book got some people...riled up ! I heard that it was the topic of an Oprah show but was cancelled due to the heated discussion,must have been bad. The characters are quite interesting , messed up, all cumilates in krziness...
I haven't read a book by him that I didn't like.... this once is pretty darn good,another that revovles around Alex Cross.
This is the first book I have ever read by her. it was okay....I like her style....
Wow ! So different than all of his "lawyer "stories" . The setting is the south in the 30's on a cotton farm as told by a 7 yr old boy....very good!
Wow ! Most of the story takes place in Afganistan during the war with the Russians.... very interesting & hard to put down!

These last two Anne Rice books I read like there was no tomorrow ! I read them out of order, should've read Blood Canticle 1st !
This book was so engrossing I read it in less than a week !
I enjoyed this book. Took place in 1866 kinda' of a " soap opera" like saga of a familys trials and triumphs. Colorful characters for sure. I enjoy his style.
I clean this office and met the habitant ( Bob Holmes Omsbudman @ the U ) I told him he had some interesting books and I mentioned this one and he loaned it to me & told me if I wanted more to take & leave him a note ! Kewl !

Finished this 7/31 ~ Historical novel about Elizabeth Bathory , A whacked out countess that killed 650 virgins so she could bathe in their blood as she thought it would preserve her youth ~ I learned a lot about Hungarian history .......

SHE published this book, her first novel @ age 23 ! That was in 1967 A tale of moral isolation in a small southern mill town in the 1930's... I like her style !
Oh, this one was one of my fave's by him ! After I read it I wanted to watch the movie but there isn't a movie but it would be a great one if they did !
This is the first book I read by him. I liked it. Good plot ( different) Well written....
Sometimes it was predictable and other times it was UNpredictable ! I did enjoy it. The ending was a big surprise, I liked that. Needed a light read after all the "non-fiction I'm having to do for class ! LOL Jan. 23rd
This was really , really good ! Her vision is surreal, her touch light and her focus is strong. Her language is very poetic ! It is intimate and epic !!! Read it , you'll like it !
